The Limited-Edition 2018 Ford Focus RS Gets More Out of Its 350 Ponies

The new Ford Focus RS is a hit with enthusiasts, and its not hard to see why. Packing 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque sent to all four wheels, kept in check by active brake and torque vectoring, and tuned by several drive modes, it’s considered one of the best powertrains out there. Yet for the 2018 model year, that power will come into play more than ever.

2018 marks the last model year of the current generation of Focus RS. In 2019, an all-new version will debut, meaning the upcoming model year will represent a send off of sorts. Ford Performance has risen to the occasion by giving all 1,000 U.S.-bound Focus RS models the Limited Edition treatment in the form of a standard RS2 package, carbon fiber components, and most importantly, a limited-slip differential supplied by Quaife. Working with the powertrain’s active torque and brake vectoring, it will prevent wheel spin during acceleration, and will result in even faster lap times and 0-60 acceleration.
